At voco® Parma & Congressi, sustainability is part of the way of working, not an accessory element. The goal is to reduce the environmental impact of the property and at the same time promote a more conscious approach to hospitality, also involving guests during their stay.

This commitment is part of the INCHotels Group Code of Ethics, which defines the principles underlying relationships with clients, suppliers and collaborators, with particular attention to environmental and social responsibility.

Reduction of consumption and resource management
The daily activity of the hotel is oriented toward waste reduction and consumption control. The focus concerns in particular:

– energy consumption
– water use
– waste reduction

Within the property there are systems and practices that allow the optimization of resource use, with constant monitoring and progressive interventions over time.

Waste management and reduction of waste
An important part of the work concerns waste management and waste prevention, especially in the food service area.

Separate waste collection containers are available in common areas, facilitating proper disposal, while in the areas dedicated to breakfast good practices are promoted to avoid food waste.

The objective is to reduce the overall impact of daily activities, without compromising service quality.

Guest involvement
Sustainability is a journey that also involves those who stay at the hotel. For this reason, informational materials and simple guidelines are made available to help adopt more mindful behaviours during the stay.

Among the suggested actions:
– conscious use of water and energy
– correct waste management
– attention to food waste

The idea is to create collaboration between the property and guests, based on simple but concrete daily choices.
